About
James Feeley is a mixed media artist expertising in both photography and video editing. James' work often tires to convey deep emotional connections to the target audience, whether that be a personal project or for a commercial client. He always strives to show his own style and presence within his work whether that be photography, video editing or design with his raw approach and his keen eye for colour. His varied experience in multiple fields allows for him to take a highly creative approach to each project pulling from multiple inspirations and sources.
Starting out in video editing James is self taught in Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve and specialises in Adobe After Effects. Known mostly for his presence in the early eSports boom he helped pave the way for gaming content creation and was one of the first people to work with top brands trying to break into the market such as RedBull, Scuf, Intel and others. James was at the forefront of a lot of video editing techniques commonly used in gaming videos today and always pushed himself forward to create his own style and brand within his editing.
Moving on from video editing he took to Photography to broaden his horizons. Mostly focused in fashion photography he has undertaken tasks that have been in commercial sectors such as furniture and food and often uses photography in mixed media projects which could be considered as fine art. Completing a HND in general photography and then a BA in Commercial photography he decided to take on an honours degree in Communication Design to add to his skillset and learn to mix his media together in a complete package.
Currently working freelance at the moment he has worked with clients such as Bandit Bakery and Quickblock whilst also having his work featured in Vogue Italia and the Aberdeen Art Gallery.
